Fat behaves differently lying down. Marking happens upright, with a mirror, and you agree the map before anything else.
Tumescent anaesthesia
Dilute local anaesthetic infiltrated into the fat layer. This is the part that takes patience — and the part that makes the rest painless.
Two to three hours of contouring
You are awake. Most patients listen to something or hold a conversation. We can ask you to stand mid-procedure to check symmetry, which is not possible under general.

What about loose skin — can you tighten as you go?
Where elasticity is borderline we can add Renuvion — helium plasma with radiofrequency, applied under the skin during the same session to encourage contraction. Whether it earns its additional cost is an honest conversation at the consult, not a default add-on.
Is awake liposuction as effective as under general?
For the volumes appropriate to an office setting, yes — and being able to sit or stand you up mid-procedure to check symmetry is a genuine advantage. Very large-volume cases belong in a hospital, and we will refer those rather than stretch the setting.
Will the fat come back somewhere else?
Treated fat cells are gone permanently. If you gain significant weight afterwards, remaining cells enlarge everywhere including untreated areas, which is where that myth comes from.
What is actually included in the price?
Surgeon fee, facility, all local anaesthesia, your compression garment and every follow-up visit. The written quote at your consult is the number.
Who actually performs my treatment?
Dr. Ramos performs every surgical and injectable procedure himself. Facials, laser and IV therapy are performed by licensed clinical staff under his supervision. You will know which before you book, and you will meet whoever is treating you at the consult.
What does the consultation cost?
Nothing. It runs about twenty minutes, you get an honest read on whether the thing you want is the thing you need, and you leave with a written quote you can take home and think about. Nobody will chase you to book same-day.
