Daxxify vs Botox: which is cheaper over a year?
Per treatment, Botox is cheaper. Per year, it usually is not. Here is the arithmetic with real numbers rather than a marketing claim.

The per-treatment numbers
At this practice, Botox starts at $320 per area and Daxxify at $420. On that line alone Botox wins comfortably, which is why it is the number most clinics lead with.
The per-year numbers
Botox typically holds three to four months. Call it three and a half, which means between three and four treatments a year. Daxxify typically holds six to nine months — call it seven, which means one and a half to two.
For a patient treating forehead and glabella:
- Botox at roughly $440 per visit, 3.4 visits a year → about $1,500
- Daxxify at roughly $560 per visit, 1.7 visits a year → about $950
The gap widens for anyone treating three areas, and it narrows for people who metabolise Daxxify faster than average — which is a real group, perhaps one in five.
The part that is not money
Two appointments a year instead of four is four hours of your life and two rounds of a fortnight waiting for onset. Some people value that at nothing. Others value it more than the price difference.
Against that: with Daxxify, if you do not like the result you are living with it for longer. This matters most for first-time patients, which is why we usually start new patients on Botox, get the dosing map right, and then offer the switch once we know how your face responds.
What we will actually recommend
If you have never had neurotoxin: Botox first, one cycle, so we learn your anatomy on a product that clears faster.
If you are an established patient who is happy with your result and tired of the schedule: Daxxify, and we will keep your dosing map.
If you are the one in five whose Daxxify fades at month four: back to Botox, and we will not pretend that was the plan all along.
Both are injected by Dr. Ramos personally, and the two-week review is included either way — that is where dosing actually gets right, whichever product is in the syringe.
